Our SSB Series stern bearing housings are featured as OEM equipment buy many of the world’s finest boat builders.  Each bronze stern bearing housing is fitted with Duramax (Johnson) Cutless Bearings to help ensure years of trouble free operation.  These are the same stern bearings found on virtually all new “Downeast” style lobster boats.

Need to replace a worn out cutless© bearing in your boat’s stern bearing?  RE Thomas Marine Hardware specializes in changing out water lubricated bearings, and we maintain a large inventory of Duramax Johnson Cutless© bearings for quick turnaround.  You can drop your bronze bearing housing off at our shop in Hancock, ME.  You can also mail it to us, or make arrangements to meet with one of our delivery drivers in the Brunswick, ME area (Southern Maine and New Hampshire).
