N1 Hull Anode – Double Weight “Fat Zincs”
$37.25
Our double weight N1 hull zincs have the same mounting dimensions as standard N1 hull zincs (8.75″ X 3.25″) and are fully compatible with our standard bronze N1 Zinc mounting plate kit (also pictured at left).
These are the “Downeaster” style zinc anodes commonly mounted to the transom of lobster boats, picnic boats, and other “Downeast” style boat designs.
They last twice as long as traditional “Downeast” or “Lobster Boat” style hull zincs and reduce the number of costly “haul-outs” or diver fees to change out zincs.

Description
At R.E. Thomas Marine Hardware, we’ve taken a lot of great products and made them better. Sometimes it requires completely re-engineering a product, while other times the solution is so obvious you can’t believe it hasn’t already been done.
Take our double weight “N1” hull zincs for example (known around our shop as “Fat Zincs”).
Newer fiberglass hulls (especially lobster boats, picnic boats, and similar downeast style hulls) burn through standard size “N1” zincs in a matter of a few months.
Our founder and namesake Ron Thomas asked “why not just make the zincs thicker so they last longer?”. After a quick call to one of our zincs suppliers, that is exactly what he had done.
Our “Fat Zincs” have the same mounting dimensions as standard weight N1 zincs (8.75 X 3.25) and are fully compatible with our bronze mounting plate kit (available separately).
Help keep your boat protected and avoid costly mid-season “haul-outs” by switching to our longer lasting “Fat Zincs” today.
