Warning: Extreme caution must be utilized when handling and installing our line cutters. They are extremely sharp and injury may occur if proper personal protective equipment (cut proof gloves) is not used.
Remember, the last thing any one of us wants to do is damage commercial fishing gear or cut a fellow boater’s mooring so it goes without saying that a rope cutter (line cutter) should only be considered as a secondary means to preventing line entanglement on your boat’s propeller. A proper lookout should always be maintained, and every effort should be made to avoid running too close to lobster buoys, crab pots, moorings, long line sets, and other marked obstacles.
